DAY 1 — HCMC
Check into your hotel.

DAY 2 — HCMC
Make an early start to visit the former Viet Cong stronghold at Cu Chi. Back to HCM city. Lunch followed by an orientation tour by cyclo of the main attractions.

DAY 3 — HCMC
Today it’s off to the fascinating Mekong where you get to see how life is dependant on the river for survival.

DAY 4 — Whale Island
This morning you transfer to the train station early to take the ‘5 star train’ from Ho Chi Minh to Nha Trang. The 8 hour journey in comfort allows you to take in the scenery while being looked after by the
attentive service staff. After transferring to Whale Island, there is time to settle in. There is little planned so lie back and relax or go for a swim!

DAY 5 — Whale Island
Today is a day of relaxation.

DAY 6 — Hoi An
Today you will take the boat back to the main land and drive on to Cam Ranh airport. Just over an hours flight to Danang before transferring to Hoi An. A short orientation tour followed by free time.

DAY 7/8— Hoi An
Free time for you to make the most of what Hoi An has to offer.

DAY 9 — Hoi An
Today is a look into how food is prepared and made with a cooking demo (included). Includes a visit to the local market.

DAY 10 — Hue
Taking the scenic mountainous route over the spectacular Hai Van Pass.

DAY 11 — Hue
Visit the Citadel and one of the Nguyen Emperors’ tombs, the famed Thien Mu Pagoda and also enjoy a dragon boat cruise on the Perfume River. In the afternoon its back on the train to Hanoi.

DAY 12 — Halong Bay
After breakfast set off to Halong Bay for the day.

DAY 13 — Hanoi
This morning involves a city tour including a visit to Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and the old French built prison.

DAY 14 — Hanoi
Departure day.
