Who should complete the Pre-Arrival Declaration?

We recommend all international travellers arriving in Vietnam complete the form before travelling.

As the system continues to roll out across Vietnam, you may or may not be asked to present it on arrival, regardless of which international airport you arrive at. Completing it in advance can help avoid unnecessary delays or confusion.

Who needs to complete the Vietnam pre-arrival declaration?

• Foreign passport holders entering Vietnam
• Overseas Vietnamese travelling on a visa

Exempt:
• Vietnamese passport holders
• Transit passengers (not passing through immigration)

When should you complete it?

The form can only be completed within 72 hours prior to arrival.

You can fill the form in on arrival at the airport if needed.

What are travellers experiencing right now?

Based on recent arrivals and first-hand feedback:

• Some travellers are not being asked for it
• Some are asked to complete it on arrival
• Some experience technical issues (timeouts, no confirmation emails)
